A new website has been launched by the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of British Columbia (UBC). Focusing on the Faculty's new building, building.pharmacy.ubc.ca is dedicated to promoting the award-winning facility prior to its official opening this fall.
"Our faculty members, students, alumni and partners are very excited about the new building," says Robert Sindelar, professor and dean. "This new website will help us share that excitement with the broader community and serve as a source information for people wanting to know more."
Designed by Saucier + Perrotte Architectes and Hughes Condon Marler Architects (HCMA), the 246,182 square foot structure is built to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) gold certification. It was also recently recognized with a Canadian Architect Award of Excellence.
Established in 1946, the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of British Columbia advances knowledge, health outcomes and the profession of pharmacy leading to enhanced societal benefit and optimal patient care. With more than 5,000 alumni, the Faculty specializes in pharmacy education, research and practice.
