The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences is committed to creating an environment that will attract, retain and develop the best and the brightest minds in the field through a culture that supports innovation and leadership in education, research and pharmacy practice. People are at the core of the success that the Faculty has achieved to date and they are at the forefront of the future of pharmacy.
Continuing to build a culture of excellence, the Faculty attracts, engages and retains a diverse talent base. Programs, policies and facilities work to achieve a balance of inclusivity and a recognition and acceptance of differences. Such programs include promoting intercultural professional development, and developing practices that recognize and incorporate a diverse set of cultural values.
From recruitment to retirement, the Faculty supports practices for healthy workplace initiatives, and is fully aligned with UBC in creating a safe work environment. The Faculty is committed to the safety of its people through a number of rigorous measures, including a safety committee that meets on a regular basis to review and enforce safety protocols.
The President’s Advisory Committee for the Selection of a new Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences has been struck. Committee search consultants are currently working to establish the opportunities and challenges ahead for the Faculty, as well as the ideal qualities and experiences a new dean should offer.
