HOW TO APPLY


  1. Consult the descriptions of the Faculty's Research Areas, individual Researchers and their Trainees to determine if there is a research program in your area of interest. See the Offers Information box below.
  2. Consult the Minimum Academic Requirements on the Faculty of Graduate Studies website. Follow the link on the left for North American or International credentials. International applicants can use the dropdown menu to select the country their academic credentials are from.
    • If you are an international student, consult the English Proficiency Requirements section on the Faculty of Graduate Studies website. Also see the TOEFL Information box below.
  3. Fill out the Faculty's no-cost online pre-application.
  4. If your pre-application was successful, consult the Application & Admission overview, fill out the full online application on the Faculty of Graduate Studies website, and pay the application fee (requires a credit card):

    Canadian citizens and Permanent Residents: $91.80 CDN
    International applicants: $153.00 CDN

Offers Information

You are not required to have secured a supervisor at the time of application. The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences will make offers to potential candidates after a research supervisor has agreed to accept the candidate into their program.

TOEFL and IELTS Information

TOEFL

The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences requires a higher minimum TOEFL score than the Faculty of Graduate Studies:

  • 100 iBT (minimum score of 22 in all categories)
  • 250 computer-based
  • 600 paper-based

Use: "Institution code 0965 Department code 47" when ordering TOEFL records.

IELTS

The IELTS minimum requirement is a 6.5 overall band score with a minimum score of 6.0 in each component of the academic (NOT general) IELTS test.

NOTE: The date of the English language exam must be within 24 months of your graduate program application date.
