Research Focus

My research and teaching interests are in the measurement of health-related quality of life, economic evaluations, and formulary decision making. My projects include studies of the measurement of health-related quality of life, pharmacoepidemiologic evaluations, and economic analyses in musculoskeletal diseases, respiratory conditions and genetic diseases. We are also interested in evaluating the potential impact of the pharmacist on health outcomes and satisfaction of patients with chronic medical conditions and the provision of health services.

Current Projects

  • Societal preferences about the HPV vaccine
  • Societal preferences and economic impacts of direct to consumer advertising of genetic testing
  • Cost-effectiveness and quality of life research in tuberculosis
  • Productivity assessment and cost-effectiveness analyses in obstructive sleep apnea
  • Pharmacist and societal preferences for increased pharmacist roles in chronic disease management
