- Research portfolio to review the use of software to identify license sharing opportunities.
Achieved Goals
- Built fiscal management into annual budget processes to ensure revenues are able to support plans (2023).
- Identified potential new revenue opportunities, including increased seat funding for BPSc and the Continuing Pharmacy Professional Development engagement with the Ministry of Health which ensures the Faculty retains some of the costs of the program (fall 2023).
- Implemented external and internal reviews of the UBC Pharmacists Clinic (Nov 2023 on).
- Raised more than $10,000 through Giving Day to support student awards such as the Diane Hales Award in Pharmaceutical Sciences for Indigenous Students and the Graduate Student Professional Development Award in Pharmaceutical Sciences (April 2024).
- Secured funding from the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills for the BPSc program as part of a funding program to bridge gaps and workforce challenges, in the areas of pharmaceutical, biotechnology and related sectors. The funding will enable an additional 15 domestic seats per year, starting in 2025W; the funding will also support the recruitment of two new faculty members at the Assistant Professor of Teaching rank (April 2024).
