  • ADGPS Office plans to implement action items identified through curriculum review meetings, such as core course development and curriculum planning for each training program, change in course credit value (by 2024W).
Achieved Goals
  • Ministry approved Graduate Diploma in Pharmacy Leadership (July 2023); admissions accepted spring 2024.
  • Graduate portfolio held curriculum review meetings with research groups to refine and renew the curriculum for each specialty area (including Nanomedicine, Chemical Biology, Pharmacometrics, Pharmacy Education Research Leadership, Health Outcomes, and Molecular and Systems Pharmacology); groups reviewed the overall graduate program requirements and identified gaps in current course offerings (summer 2023); the group is working to implement the action items (2024).
  • Senate approved new course, PHAR 520 (3) Applied Omics Science for Drug Discovery and Development, to the grad curriculum; this course aims to fill a curricular gap, and expose students to key genomic technologies and computational approaches that are driving advances in prognostics, diagnostics, and treatment (spring 2024).
  • Senate approved proposal to create two versions of the PHAR 549 Master’s Thesis course to better suit the varied academic backgrounds of our incoming MSc students and the diverse types of the research our MSc students do: the existing 12-credit version and a new 18-credit version (spring 2024). 
  • Awarded $26,798 Teaching, Learning, Enhancement Fund (TLEF) for year 1 of a two year project Remediation Program for Students Experiencing Academic Challenges during Practicum in the Entry-to-Practice PharmD Program (April 2023). The project was awarded $13,306 in year 2 (2024).
